Mark your calendars to take a trip to the Holy Land (from the comfort of Meeker Hall) as we embark upon our Lenten study series. Join us as we learn from historian Ray Vander Laan as he travels the countryside putting context to some of our favorite stories from Scripture. We will be viewing selected lessons from the video series 'Faith Lessons - That the World May Know'. The videos are easy to understand, but will challenge you to deepen your faith and join in lively conversation about your faith.

Sunday March 1st - Living Water (En Gedi): The water of a spring provided an oasis that sustained life. Similarly, Jesus referred to himself as 'living water,' our only refreshment from the heart of life.

Sunday March 8th - Gates of Hell (Caesarea Philippi): In the center of this pagan city, Jesus declared, 'Upon this rock I will build my church,' challenging believers to boldly wage war on evil.

Sunday March 15th - The Weight of the World (Capernaum/Gethsemane): Manufacturing olive oil involves intense pressure. This process exposes a fresh perspective from which we can fully appreciate Jesus' sacrifice, which is our anointing.

Sunday March 22nd - The Lamb of God (Mount of Olives): The significance of Passover celebrations and Passover Week events intertwine with Jesus' choice of time, place, and message.

Sunday April 5th - The True Easter Story: Travel to the land of Israel and discover fascinating truths about the events surrounding the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Each Sunday at 6pm we will share a soup dinner, watch the faith lesson (about 20 minutes each) and then engage in a discussion about that night's topic.

*Please note that we will not meet on Sunday March 29th in order to participate in the building dedication ceremony for Etz Hayim.
